About... Rancho Cucamonga,
a small city in California, has grown from a Mexican cattle farm
to a bustling urban territory. With just over one hundred fifty
thousand residents, the city serves as a transportation hub for
the Southern California area.
With an airport, train stations, Route 66 and two interstate
highways, the city hosts numerous distribution and manufacturing
companies. The diversity of companies keeps the city’s economy
going. Large employers include the local school district, the city
government and a nearby college.
Rancho Cucamonga never developed a downtown office center, so the
government created one in the eastern portion of the city. The
Victoria Gardens features small stores, a library, a theater, a
food court and numerous restaurants. Office parks are scattered
throughout the area.
The city was incorporated in 1977, and is still growing regularly.
Residents can take advantage of the advanced transportation options
to visit nearby Chino, Big Bear Lake or San Bernardino, as well as
numerous national protected areas.
