About... New Haven,
home of the Ivy League school Yale University, is the second
largest city in Connecticut, with a population of about 130,000.
Nicknamed “The Elm City” due to the first public tree planting
initiative in America, this city is also the sixth largest city
in New England.
Manufacturing built New Haven. The city produced a variety of
goods, including carriages, beer, pianos, rubber and clocks.
Manufacturing has seen a sharp decline since the 1920’s, and it has
been largely overshadowed by the growth in the service industries,
particularly education and healthcare. In fact, Yale University is
the largest employer in the city, and one of the largest in the
state.
New Haven plays host to the headquarters of three Fortune 1000
companies, including The Knights of Columbus Fraternal Service
Organization.
Whether you’re entry level or senior management, find what you need
in New Haven. From Administrators with Yale to RN Case Managers
with Yale-New Haven Hospital, job opportunities are alive and well
in The Elm City.
